The Birding Ecotours World Youth Birders

Three guys and a girl: a Zimbabwean safari guide, an Englishman who dreams of the Negev during long walks on the beach, a South African high school ‘forwards’ rugby coach and bird guide and his compatriot - a barefoot, khaki-clad “Goldilocks” - made up one of the teams at this year’s Champions of the Flyway bird race. It was the first team of its kind to ever participate and only the third ever “international” youth team. Passionate, energetic, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and driven the team campaigns for birds all over the world, striving to make as much a difference as possible enjoying themselves. They share their youthful outlook on birding and gather the support of birders the world over through their motto: “‘birds don’t have borders, so why should we?” They want to show the world that youthful drive and passion can make a difference.
