However, the watery latex produced by the cactus vine is widely used for the treatment of wounds on both large and small animals. The preparation is very simple. One needs to cut part of the vine, crush it and mix it with water. This liquid is applied directly to the animal’s wound, which will start to heal and dry out rapidly.
